Vice-Moderator of the World Council of Churches Commission on Faith and Order (through 2005); member of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA Commission on Faith and Order (through 2000); locally, a member of the Rochester Women's Network; give lectures in various settings locally and elsewhere.
Research Interests
Women in ministry, possibilities and problems; theological reflection on our culture of hate and the God of love; the Great War and the birth of twentieth century theology; ecumenical theology, especially understandings of "unity;" "place" as theological subject.
