Faith Development Leader
Interim Part-time.
 
Faith Development and Christian Education for all ages is an important component within the mission and ministry of Penfield Presbyterian Church. The position of Faith Development Leader includes the activities necessary to provide meaningful and coordinated Christian Education experiences to the congregation, especially the children and their families.
 
Summary of responsibilities: 
Provide guidance and leadership for Sunday faith development programs for children and youth.  
 
Develop positive relationships with children and families.
 
 Actively recruit volunteer teacher/leaders for ministry to the children and youth. Support teachers and
provide training and/or resources to enhance programs.
 
 With the Christian Education (CE) Ministry Team research, select and provide curriculum for Sunday
children and youth programs throughout the year.
 
 Facilitate the formation of small group opportunities for Youth and Adults. Actively support the ongoing vitality of the small groups. Identify and facilitate opportunities to collaborate with other churches.
 
Work with the Ministry Teams and Pastor to plan and prepare special events and activities in accordance with Session objectives for the ministry of the church.
 
This is an Interim Part-time position. Approximately 15 hours/week. As the mission and ministry of the church evolve, it is anticipated the position of Faith Development Leader will evolve in a like fashion. We are a church in transition and we are eager for dynamic leadership in this position.
 
Active Christian faith and ability to nurture others on their faith journey are vital. Relevant experience is essential and degree or formal education is preferred. Enthusiasm, organization skills, and sense of humor are also important traits.

Rural and Migrant Ministry (RMM) is looking for a progressive individual to direct
RMM's programs and organizational development in the western part of New York.
 
Formed in 1981, RMM is a state-wide multi-faith organization that stands as a committed ally with those who work for justice in the rural and farmworker communities of New York.    RMM is engaged in a ministry of justice and empowerment through three major initiatives: accompaniment, education and youth empowerment:
 
Accompaniment works to develop and connect allies from the faith community, students, and others with efforts for rural justice, empowerment, and leadership development.

Education
is a key component to strengthen the leadership of rural and migrant people and their allies.    

Youth empowerment enables youth to have greater control of their lives as they explore and internalize the concepts of self‑worth, leadership and democracy.

Support Sunday School and neighborhood outreach programs at a small, urban church. Responsibilities include program development, teacher training, curriculum selection, administrative support, and building relationships with children and their families.

Job Title:   Minister for Youth and Young Adults
 
Position Purpose
To lead and manage ministry programs for the Wesley Youth Group and Teen Center Outreach Ministries. Wesley currently serves 40+ youth and young adults, ages 21 and under.
 
Wesley seeks a person who has a solid understanding of the foundations of the Christian faith and United Methodist traditions (or a willingness to learn) combined with a strong desire to nurture young people in this Christian faith.  This person should have a high level of energy and an exciting, energetic and igniting personality with the ability to model Christ in all walks of life.
 
The Minister for Youth and Young Adults is a staff position accountable to the Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) of Wesley United Methodist Church and will be under the immediate supervision of the Senior Pastor and will report periodically to the Church Council.

Wesley seeks a person who will continue to carry on the established ministry programs, the Wesley Youth Group and the Teen Center Outreach Program with the assistance of the Youth Leader, as well as generate new ideas and ministry projects.
 
We are looking for a person who will work well in a multicultural and multigenerational environment and will nurture a spirit of unity throughout the entire congregation. This position requires a person who is a team player and has the ability to develop leadership skills with in the Wesley Youth group.
 
The position is salaried based on 20 hours per week and requires the person to be at Wesley on Friday’s from 5-10 pm and on Sunday’s from 9am – 1pm. The balance of the hours will include planning time as well as attending outside ministry events such youth gatherings or summer camp.
