Speaking at the Royal National Theatre (RNT), London (Subject: George Bernard Shaw and the Salvation Army). Dr. Brummitt's paper, A Hap'oth of "Happy Elizas": The Salvation Army and Popular Culture will be published in conjunction with the RNT forthcoming production of Major Barbara.

Dr. James H. Evans, Jr., Robert K. Davies Professor of Systematic Theology, will be the Keynote Speaker for the City Wide Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Memorial Celebration, in Plainfield, New Jersey, at the Shiloh Baptist Church, at 6:00 pm on Monday, January 21, 2008.

Professor Barbara Moore
Dr. Moore will be preaching regularly, twice a month in Roman Catholic Parishes. St. Patrick's in Victor, NY and St. Catherine's, Mendon NY.  On January 20, 2008 she will be preaching for Women's Sunday at First Presbyterian Church Pittsford, NY.

The Preaching Institute at St. Bernard's is offering three workshops entitled, "Preaching the Lenten, Holy Week and Easter Liturgies" on January 29th, February 19th and March 11th respectively. The presenters are Rev. Robert Kennedy, homiletics professor at St. Bernard's and Sister Barbara Moore.

February 2008

Professor Barbara Moore
Dr. Moore will be preaching on February 3, 2008 at First Baptist Macedon, NY.  On February 26, Dr. Moore will be facilitating a Day of Reflection for staff of Transfiguration parish, Pittsford, NY.

Professor Gail Ricciuti
Professor Riciutti is the preacher for the 2008 annual conference of the Association of Presbyterian Christian Educators, to be held this year Feb. 13-16 in San Diego, CA.  The theme for this year's conference is "But God Says..." 

Professor Ricciuti will be teaching the Commissioned Lay Pastor school conducted by the Presbytery of Genesee Valley.  From Feb-April, 2008 she will be teaching the preaching course for twenty candidates for commissioning as lay pastors.  (The training is a two-year, eleven-course curriculum.)

On March 2, 2008, Dr. Moore will facilitating a Presentation on Psalms with a group of single Christian men and women.

April 2008

Professor Mark Brummitt will be teaching Adult Education program at Third Presbyterian Church, East Avenue: Joshua-Kings.

Professor James H. Evans, Jr.
Professor Evans will be delivering his paper entitled, “Playing in the Dark: The Search for Meaning in African American Literature” during the month of April.  On April 4th, Professor Evans will be at LeMoyne College, Syracuse, NY as part of the conference on "The Grotesque and Sublime in Contemporary Culture." On April 5th, Professor Evans's paper will be part of the MAASA/GLASA conference on at the Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, NY

Professor Barbara Moore
On April 5, 2008 Dr. Moore will give a presentation on responsible voting to the Social Policy Committee of the Episcopal Diocese, Rochester NY.


On April 6, 2008 Dr. Moore will preaching at Farmington Friends Church. On April 9th, she will facilitate a presentation to the volunteers from Asbury Methodist's "Dining and Caring Center."  

May 2008
