Spring 2011

Mark Brummitt, Ph.D, Assistant Professor of Old Testament Interpretation has contributed to Diamond and Stulman's Jeremiah Displaced: New Directions in Writing/Reading Jeremiah (2011).  He continues to write articles for the Encyclopedia of Biblical Reception which last year won the American Library Association Award for Outstanding Academic Publication 2010 (approximately 5 to 10 per year), and for the Expository Times (2 articles per year).  Dr. Brummitt continues with the Adult Education series at Christ Church, Pittsford, NY and will lead a group at the Interfaith Chapel at the University of Rochester in March 2011.  He will also begin a four week study for Lent at St. Paul's Episcopal, Rochester, NY.  In May, Dr. Brummitt will lead a three week adult education program at First Baptist, Rochester, NY.  He has been accepted on the Wabash Pre Tenure Program for Theological Educators and was awarded a Wabash Fellowship to write at Tantur in Jerusalem, Israel in the summer of 2011.
